I discuss the Universal Common App (UCA) in Game Changer. I mention how UCA does not have as many member schools as it once had. This is still true but UCA is on the upswing.
UCA benefitted with all of the problems that CA4 (see video 5 for a 31 minute webinar about CA4) had in their roll out. Universal added 12 new members, bringing its total to 43. In May of 2014, Universal announced six more members: Brandeis and Colgate Universities, the College of Mount Saint Vincent, the Universities of Chicago and Rochester, and Wilson College.
The Baltimore based, for profit, UCA may only have 43 member colleges but that list includes several very prestigious colleges and people are taking note. As of June 23rd, 2014, the current list of colleges that accept the Universal Common App is as follows:
