Jennifer’s journey into college counseling began several years ago, sparked by her engagement with Mark’s podcast and her interest in talking ‘all things college’ with others. People began approaching her for questions and appreciated her feedback on the college admissions process. Jennifer started her journey by curating summer program lists for students seeking summer learning opportunities. Her experience evolved into extensive training with Mark, deepening her knowledge in the college counseling field. Jennifer has partnered with over 80 students through their college match journey, met with countless families, and reviewed essays, applications, interview preparation sessions, and college reveal lists. Additionally, she has partnered with ScholarMatch to volunteer as a college coach for first-generation students.
Her background in School Social Work and Administration deepens her appreciation for working with the diverse needs of students and collaborating with families from various backgrounds, races, and economic statuses. Despite student differences, she understands that there is a college match for ALL students. She recognizes the impact college counseling can have on those with financial needs and is open to working with families who may need support paying School Match4U.
As a mother of three sons pursuing business majors at different colleges, Jennifer understands firsthand the intricacies of finding the right fit for each student. Her family has a long history of hosting multiple exchange students and embracing the study abroad experience. Jennifer enjoys her time with her husband, children, dogs, and birds in her backyard. She enjoys traveling and any extra time she can spend with her family and friends. Jennifer’s ultimate goal is to create educational continuity for students while finding the perfect fit to succeed in their college endeavors.
